Our mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. With our mission in mind, Frisco ISD Council of PTAs is focused on the following goals in 2017-2018:
Promote and increase PTA membership in our Council by 5% while using all communication platforms to show the value of membership as it relates to advocacy efforts and building awareness of the tangible benefits for all members. Using a Back the Future event to increase CommYOUnity awareness and as a tool for new memberships.
Communicate to all of our stakeholders the purpose and mission of Frisco ISD Council of PTAs while also communicating all information that is applicable in a timely and consistent manner.
Act as a resource and partner to our locals PTA to strengthen and improve their effectiveness with the families of their schools by providing the support and training needed to help our locals remain active, thriving, and engaged units.
Educate and empower Frisco ISD families and community members by providing diverse and relevant programs to meet their needs and increase family engagement while educating our stakeholders of the value of PTA.
Advocate to secure adequate laws for the care and protection of the students of Frisco ISD.
Texas PTA Mission
To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
Texas PTA Purpose
To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
